PROSOTTO LTD
1. Introduction
The data controller is PROSOTTO LTD (formerly ProConnect Social Networks Ltd), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17273365. Its registered address is 71 to 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
Prosotto is a global professional networking platform. We are committed to transparency regarding how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, wherever in the world you use our services.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to deliver a meaningful professional networking experience:
Professional Details, industry, language skills (private to you, see section 4), background, and networking goals, as provided by you.
LinkedIn Profile Data, URL or QR code, shared only with your explicit consent.
Interaction Data, event check-ins, RSVPs, connections, and in-platform messaging.
Usage & Technical Data, IP address, device type, and app interaction logs to ensure platform security and performance.
Camera, the native app can open your device's Camera app so you can take a photo to upload. Prosotto does not process the camera stream itself.
Photo Library, photos you choose to upload from your device, e.g. for your profile or posts.
Location, your city or area is entered by you as text. On the web, if you tap Near me and allow location, your browser uses it once to choose a nearby city for public events. Precise coordinates are not stored or sent to Prosotto. Only your chosen city is saved in your browser. The native app does not request device location.
Microphone, used for voice notes and any audio/video features you choose to use.
Push notifications, if you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store the notification token Apple (iPhone) or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) issues for that device, linked to your account, so we can alert you about messages, connection requests and events. Tokens are removed when you sign out, delete your account, or the device stops accepting notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings or in your device settings.
Crash and error reports, we use Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), with data stored in the European Union, to find and fix crashes and errors in our apps and website. Reports contain technical details only, such as the error, the screen, the app version and the device type. They never include your messages, name, email address or other personal details, and they are not linked to you. Reports are kept for 30 days.
3. AI Usage and Data Protection
AI Transparency
We utilise AI-powered tools to enhance your experience (e.g., writing assistance or professional insights). We do not sell your personal data to third-party AI companies for the purpose of training their models.
At your request, AI may also help you draft parts of your own profile (such as your bio or what you are looking for), using only the information you have already provided on your profile. Any suggestion is shown to you for review and is only kept if you save it.
Our AI features run through our AI gateway provider, Lovable AI Gateway, which passes each request to one underlying model provider. They act as data processors on our instructions and do not use this content to train their models.
- Google (Gemini models) processes member data, and only when you use a feature: what you type to the Prosotto Assistant, the profile writing helper and the organiser assistant (with the profile or workspace details that feature needs), welcome emails drafted for private groups, the sound of voice notes and video messages you choose to transcribe, and documents a supplier or organiser uploads for checking. Google also reads public event listings from the web to find events.
- OpenAI processes only public event text, to write short event descriptions. It never receives member data.
Prohibition of Scraping
We employ technical measures to prevent unauthorised third-party scraping or harvesting of user data for AI training or machine learning purposes.
4. Languages, Insights and Partner Sharing
The optional languages question
You can optionally mark each language on your profile as used at work. You can skip this. Your answer, and every language you list on your profile, are private to you. They are not shown to other members, event organisers or partners.
Anonymous insights
Your company, language and job area are shared with a multilingual expert partner.
Euro London, our multilingual expert partner
Euro London is a multilingual expert partner and the only partner that may ever receive a member's or company's details from Prosotto. We share details only when you have ticked a box asking us to, for example on the "Hiring for language skills?" form, at the end of the languages at work check, or when signing up for a business account. Ticking is always optional and is never a condition of using Prosotto. We record the exact wording you agreed to and when.
No other partner receives your details this way.
If you use a language at work, you can also tick "Share my languages with our multilingual expert partner for job opportunities." Our multilingual expert partner, Euro London, can then see your name, job title, company, LinkedIn and the languages you use at work, so they can tell you about roles. Untick it any time in Settings and you leave their list straight away. Unticking every language you use at work also switches it off.
Event organisers you choose to share with
When you register for an event, the organiser may offer an optional box asking whether you would like to share your contact details with them. The box names the organiser, is never ticked for you and is never a condition of registering. If you tick it, we send that organiser your first name, last name, email address, job title and the event you registered for, and later whether you cancelled or checked in. We never send your company, LinkedIn, languages, phone number, bio, connections, messages, notes, VIP status or age. We record the exact wording you agreed to and when.
We share these details with an organiser only on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Organisers must send you their own confirmation and receive your agreement before adding you to any marketing list. From that point the organiser is responsible for how they use your details, under their own privacy notice.
Withdrawing
You can withdraw at any time in Settings, Partner sharing. Withdrawing stops any future sharing straight away. If you withdraw from an organiser, or delete your account, we tell that organiser at once, and they must delete or suppress your details within 30 days.
Past Employers
You can choose to list firms you used to work for, with optional start and end years. This is optional and private by default. For each firm you decide separately whether other members who list the same firm may see it, and whether it shows on your public profile. Alumni sharing works both ways: only members who list the same firm and have also switched alumni sharing on for it can see that firm on your profile. Those same members can also find each other with the optional "Alumni of" filter in Discover. Nothing is ranked or suggested, the filter only offers your own firms with alumni sharing on, and firms themselves are never given a list of who names them. Both choices are off until you turn them on. We rely on your consent for this, and you can switch either choice off, or remove a firm completely, at any time from the Past employers section of your profile. Deleting your account erases this list, and it is included when you download a copy of your data from Settings.
Event Attendee Data
Event organisers may export attendee and check-in data for their own events, and may delete that event's attendee/check-in records from Prosotto after export. This is a per-event action controlled by the organiser and is not a platform-wide purge. We log these actions for audit purposes.
5. International Data Transfers
As a global platform, your data may be processed in countries outside of the UK or European Economic Area (EEA). Where we transfer your data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place to maintain the level of protection required by UK GDPR.
Data may also be processed by third-party service providers (e.g. hosting and database providers) acting on Prosotto's instructions, under appropriate data processing agreements.
6. Age Eligibility
Prosotto is an 18+ platform. We implement age-assurance measures during sign-up. We do not knowingly store data for individuals under 18; if such an account is identified, it will be restricted and the data deleted.
7. Your Rights and Controls (GDPR)
Under the UK GDPR and equivalent international frameworks, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access, request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to Rectification, correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure, request deletion (“right to be forgotten”). You may delete your account and data at any time via Account Settings. When you delete your account, we erase your profile, photos, media and travel details. People you spoke with keep their own messages and private notes, and your messages appear as Deleted account. Safety reports are kept without your name, so we can protect other members.
- Deleting a message, you can hide any message for yourself, or delete your own message for everyone within 48 hours. Deleted content is no longer visible to members. If the message has already been reported, we keep a private copy of the content and media for safety review only.
- Right to Data Portability, request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to Object, you can object to how we process your data. You can withdraw partner sharing at any time in Settings, Partner sharing. For anything else, email support@prosotto.com.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request erasure of your data at any time via Account Settings.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption of data in transit and secure access controls.
