Introduction
About the club
Meridian was founded in 2019 by a small group of strategy and pricing leads who were tired of paying for research that told them what they already knew.
We publish four briefings a year on industrial, life-science and speciality chemical markets, and we run the rooms where members argue with them. Everything said at a Meridian table is unattributed by default, which is why the rooms stay small and the membership is reviewed by hand.
Members are operators, not observers: heads of strategy, pricing, commercial finance and corporate development, mostly in the UK and the Netherlands.
Membership
How membership works
- 01

The four briefings a year, the noticeboard, and a seat at every open briefing.
- 02

Everything in the Reading Room, plus the twelve-seat roundtables and the working data behind each briefing.
- 03
Fellows
By invitation. The dinners, early sight of every draft, and a standing invitation to shape the research agenda.
The club
Our story
Meridian began in 2019 as a standing table at the back of a Clerkenwell wine bar, where a handful of research leads met to argue about method. It grew because the arguments were useful.
Today we convene founders, analysts and academics eight times a year. Every evening follows the same shape: one long-form paper, one dissent, and dinner. No panels, no pitching, no press.
Membership is by introduction and reviewed annually. What is said in the room stays in the room.
